"Gold Leaf Soul" is inspired by the famous Gaddi bust, a Hellenistic masterpiece celebrated by artists of all eras, now housed in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. In Tincolini's work, the amputated limbs are highlighted by gold, creating a powerful contrast between the preciousness of the metal and the roughness of the discarded material. This choice of material is not accidental: the manufacturing waste becomes symbols of regeneration and rebirth, giving new life to what would otherwise have been abandoned. The use of gold adds a layer of depth and complexity, suggesting that even scars and imperfections can be transformed into something beautiful and precious. "Gold Leaf Soul" becomes a manifesto for how art can be a tool for beauty and responsibility, promoting a more conscious and sustainable future. The work invites the viewer to reflect on the duality between destruction and creation, on art's ability to turn waste into a resource, the "ugly" and the "different" into beauty.
