The newspapers have crowned “Spaceman Shiny” by Filippo Tincolini as the king of the island, and some predict it will be the most photographed figure in Capri during the summer of 2024.

Filippo Tincolini chose Capri and its Piazzetta, a symbolic holiday destination, to bring art back to everyday life—an objective that, judging by the initial response, has been successfully achieved.

Some might raise an eyebrow, but not Vittorio Sgarbi.

In the article published by “Corriere del Mezzogiorno”, the art critic states: “Tincolini has conveyed a precise concept: the astronaut landing on Capri is exactly like the one landing on the Moon, because today going to Capri feels just like landing on another planet. Capri thus becomes a place of imagination, distant and removed from Earth. There is no doubt that it is a successful operation.”

A work that has attracted attention not only from the many tourists. All the national newspapers are talking about it: La Repubblica, Il Sole24Ore, Il Corriere della Sera, Il Mattino, QN Quotidiano Nazionale, Libero, Il Tirreno, Il Venerdì di Repubblica, along with numerous local newspapers and industry magazines.
