Pietrasanta 2025: A Year of Art Between Sculpture, Design, and Innovation

Daniele Masseglia, La Nazione, December 17, 2024

Known as the “Little Athens”, Pietrasanta once again reaffirms itself as an international crossroads for sculpture and contemporary art. The year 2025 promises to be extraordinary, with a program of exhibitions and events that will bring world-renowned artists to this Tuscan city.

Among the leading figures is Filippo Tincolini, the Tuscan artist celebrated for his sculptural language that merges tradition with innovation. With the exhibition “Human Connections”, Tincolini explores the complexity of human relationships through monumental marble sculptures, where classical influences intertwine with modern techniques and contemporary themes. His work eloquently reflects the need for genuine connections in today’s world.

Alongside him, the Japanese master Kan Yasuda will mark 50 years of artistic career and the 30th anniversary of his first exhibition in Pietrasanta with “Beyond the Form”. His marble and bronze works, known for their essential elegance, will interact with the historic center and Marina spaces in a wide-ranging exhibition starting on June 14, 2025.

Rounding out this artistic trilogy is Stefano Chiassai, a multifaceted artist and designer, who will present an exhibition from October 25, 2025, to February 2026. His project reinterprets everyday life through innovative materials and artistic visions that move fluidly between art, fashion, and design.

These events confirm Pietrasanta as an international hub for contemporary sculpture and art, offering residents and visitors a cultural journey woven from tradition, experimentation, and timeless beauty.
